I Feel Pretty Preview at Showcase Cinemas

For as long as I can remember, the movies have been a special experience for me. I have always adored watching them, and for a big period of my childhood thought I would one day be a movie star myself. While that shockingly (ha!) didn’t pan out, my love has continued. When the chance arose to partner with Showcase Cinemas, and attend an advanced screening of the new film I Feel Pretty, I was overjoyed.

I have been going to Showcase for years, in their various location throughout Massachusetts — first it was Lowell, and now it’s typically Woburn (close to work) or Revere (close to home), though the options spread far and wide across MA. Go hungry, because their food options are tops. From their SuperLux Dining (in-seat menus!) to a number of restaurants and in-theatre bars, varying by location, Showcase makes a perfect girls’ night out or date night. Wayy more than just popcorn (but obviously get that too because #snacks). Fun fact: one of the best chicken Caesar salads I’ve ever had was at one of their theaters! And to save some stress while casually enjoying your drinks at the bar before showtime, Showcase offers reserved seating at their theatres.

SoulCycle plays an integral role in the movie, so ahead of the early showing at Showcase Cinema de Lux Legacy Place, instructors were there to pump up the audience. Once the movie began, I genuinely did not stop laughing. While the film is hilarious, there is also a lot of heart to it with a resonating message– women so often feel defined by their outward appearance and find themselves in an endless comparison loop. Amy Schumer once again proved that you can embody physical comedy, and also tug at the heartstrings of viewers. I genuinely can’t wait to see it again!
